Cigarette smoking among youth in Florida is down! After surveying nearly 40,000 middle school students and over 36,000 high school students in 746 schools around the state of Florida, the Department of Health has released the results from the 2012 Florida Youth Tobacco Survey. Among middle school students, current cigarette use (smoked at least once in the past 30 days) dropped 0.2% among middle school students and 1.8% among high school students since 2010.
